Preliminary plans have been filed for a larger apartment complex at 650 Divisadero Street by Alamo Square in San Francisco. The application will create a nine-story apartment complex with nearly a hundred affordable units two blocks from the Panhandle. Jonathan Rose Companies is the project developer.
The Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development has announced an official Request for Qualifications, seeking potential development partners to build at 1979 Mission Street in San Francisco’s Mission District. The property had previously seen the ‘Monster in the Mission’ proposal, a contentious ten-story apartment by Maximus. Now, the city-owned lot will become 100% affordable housing thanks to an agreement with Crescent Heights, the developer behind a 55-story proposal in The Hub.
New building permits have been filed for the nine-story affordable housing plan at 1515 South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Mission District. The 168-unit infill has been designated a priority by the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development to streamline approval. Chinatown Community Development Center and the Mission Economic Development Agency are jointly responsible for the project.
Construction has started for 4200 Geary Boulevard, a seven-story affordable senior housing project rising in San Francisco’s Richmond District. The development is now looking toward completion in early 2025, with applications opening in the fourth quarter of next year. Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation is the project developer.
A new proposal for a tiny home village has been filed for 1979 Mission Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. The plans would install as many as 70 prefabricated units and related amenities on the 1.32-acre property. The city’s Department of Homelessness & Supportive Housing is responsible for the application. Reached for comment, city staff shared with YIMBY, “The proposal does not include demolition of the existing buildings.”
