California Forever has made its first substantial step toward building a new city on agricultural land in Solano County. The company, a real estate firm established in Silicon Valley in 2017 with financing from several billionaires, hopes to convince the county voters to create a new city with up to 400,000 residents.

Draft EIR Published for CCA Campus Redevelopment, Oakland

The City of Oakland has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report on the California College of the Arts Oakland Campus redevelopment at 5200 Broadway. The announcement is an important milestone for the developer to construct over five hundred homes, open space, and preserved historic buildings across the four acres. Meeting Thursday For Increased Housing of Stonestown Galleria, San Francisco

San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to review plans to increase the residential capacity of the Stonestown Galleria master plan. The new plan will create nearly 3,500 residences and reduce non-retail sales and service spaces. To add more housing, the plans for a hotel have been removed. Brookfield Properties is the developer, and the meeting is scheduled for this Thursday.

Google’s North Bayshore Campus Approved In Mountain View, Santa Clara County

Santa Clara City Planning Commission has granted approval mixed-use development proposed by Google in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the development of a large-scale property lot with thousands of residences, open space, public spaces, and office spaces. The site is occupied by 69 buildings. Demolition will be required for all but one of the existing structures.

Environmental Review Complete for Google’s North Bayshore Development

The Final Environmental Impact Report has been published for North Bayshore, a mixed-use development proposed by Google in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The publication brings Google closer to entitlement for the 153-acre masterplan with thousands of homes, public open space, and 1.8 million square feet of new office space. Lendlease is working with the tech giant as the project developer.
