The San Francisco Planning Department has published the draft environmental review for 2500 Mariposa Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. The proposed project would create 575 dwelling units on top of an expanded transit facility. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency is sponsoring the development.
San Jose City Council is poised to give final approval to construct the 80-acre Downtown West urban development by Google. The proposal would reshape a significant portion of the Diridon Station Area Plan in Downtown San Jose by replacing surface parking and low-density blocks around the SAP Center with a higher density of housing, offices, and retail. The meeting will be held today, starting at 6 PM.
Rapid progress has been made across the four acres between Mission, Fifth, and Howard streets for the 5M mixed-use project in SoMa, San Francisco. Facade installation has passed the halfway point for the 395-foot office building at 415 Natoma Street, while the 20-story residential tower at 434 Minna Street has just three floors left to be covered. The City Council of the City of Mountain View has approved Google’s request for the right to build for over a million square feet of net new office space, an important component in the tech company’s North Bayshore development. The decision moves the massive project, including roughly seven thousand residential units with some low-income housing, closer to construction. Council approval for the formal master plan is expected to be received later in Spring.
