Funding Secured for Affordable Housing at 1515 South Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco

The State of California has helped secure new funds for 1515 South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Mission District. The Department of Housing and Community Development has awarded $37.9 million towards a 168-unit affordable housing proposal for the vacated site. Chinatown Community Development Center and the Mission Economic Development Agency are jointly responsible for the project.

SF Supervisors Vote Today on $115M Loan for Transbay Block 2 East

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote later today to provide a $115.8 million construction loan for affordable housing at Transbay Block 2 East. The proposal is expected to rise 17 stories tall and bring 184 below-market-rate rental apartments to 200 Folsom Street in the heart of the densely-developed Transbay neighborhood. Mercy Housing is the project sponsor.

Preliminary Plans for Affordable Housing at 125 East 12th Street, Oakland

Preliminary plans have been filed for an eight-story affordable housing project at 125 East 12th Street in Merritt, Oakland. The proposal would rise next to East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation’s approved plans for affordable housing at 121 East 12th Street. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates is leading the project and working with co-developer Eastlake United for Justice.
