Studio Gang-Designed Tower Topped Out in Mission Rock, San Francisco

Construction has topped out with the installation of the eye-catching green ceramic tile facade just one floor from its peak on Mission Rock Parcel F in San Francisco’s Mission Bay. The 23-story tower is the last of four builds in phase one of the Mission Rock master plan. Parcel F was developed by Mission Rock Partners, a joint venture by the San Francisco Giants and Tishman Speyer. Chicago-based Studio Gang is the design architect.

Gladstone Expansion Announced for 1650 Owens Street in Mission Bay, San Francisco

Gladstone has announced plans for a new expansion of their current location at 1650 Owens Street in Mission Bay, San Francisco. The nonprofit life sciences research organization has plans to increase its floorplan capacity by over a third, creating new laboratories and room for around two hundred new employees. Construction is expected to begin late next year.

Construction Tops Out for 1450 Owens Street in Mission Bay, San Francisco

Crews have topped out on the seven-story life sciences development at 1450 Owens Street in San Francisco’s Mission Bay. The steel frame stands 109 feet above street level, rising over I-280, while the site’s ground floor is visible to passing Caltrain riders. Truebeck is the general contractor, and Alexandria Real Estate Equities is the project developer.

Sitework Underway for Mission Bay School in San Francisco

Excavation work is underway at Mission Bay South Block 14, preparing to construct the San Francisco neighborhood’s new public school. The facilities will sit on a 2.5-acre site, opening up classrooms and community facilities to boost all students and teachers in the San Francisco Unified School District system. DLR Group is the project architect.

Construction has topped out with facade installation starting for the new University of San Francisco Clinical Facility at Mission Bay Block 34 in Mission Bay, San Francisco. The five-story medical center is rising next to the now-open nine-story parking garage at the corner of 3rd and Mariposa Street, further establishing the urban UCSF campus. Block 34 is expected to open later this year.

Construction has started for the eight-story affordable infill at 400 China Basin Street in Mission Bay, San Francisco. The project is expected to open 148 new condominiums for sale by 2024, overlooking the rising Mission Rock neighborhood. Mithun is responsible for the design.

The project crane has now been installed, preparing crews to build up the wedge-shaped parcel at the far-west edge of the dense neighborhood. Groundbreaking for Mission Bay School in San Francisco

The official groundbreaking ceremony took place yesterday morning for the Mission Bay Pre-K and Elementary School in Mission Bay, San Francisco. The event was attended by the project team, students, children, and Mayor London Breed. The school will reshape a 2.5-acre site and host up to 550 students for the San Francisco Unified School District.

Both projects will bring new affordable housing to the city. Block 9 is dedicated to formerly homeless individuals, and Block 9A will sell 148 affordable condominiums opening by 2024.

Facade Installation Tops Out for Three Towers at Mission Rock, San Francisco

Facade installation is nearly done for the three new towers in Mission Rock, San Francisco. Both the new Visa Headquarters and The Canyon are completely wrapped, with work on Building B almost finished. Meanwhile, Site work is continuing for Studio Gang’s glazed-green tower, the fourth and final tower to rise during Phase One, with the project crane already in place. The joint venture dubbed Mission Rock Partners expects to welcome its first tenants and residents next year.
