The 32nd tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is 333 O’Farrell Street in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood by Union Square. The structure rises 493 feet tall to be the tallest structure exclusively for hotel use in the Bay, and was the second of three structures in the full-block Hilton San Francisco complex. 333 O’Farrell opened in 1971 with design by John Carl Warnecke & Associates.

The 102-foot structure will yield 36,860 square feet, of which 22,190 square feet is dedicated to residential use, and 3,200 square feet for shared living spaces. 2,230 square feet of open space will be available for residents at the basement level and the roof. Turk Street LLC is responsible for the development, with Maddern Construction hired as the contractor.
