Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of an eight-story residential building at 1396 5th Street in Acorn Industrial, Oakland. The project proposal includes the construction of a residential building containing 222 dwelling units. The Michaels Organization is sponsoring the housing project. BDE Architecture is managing the design concepts and construction.
The City of Oakland Planning Commission is reviewing proposed revisions for the multi-structure plans’ affordable housing component at 801 Pine Street, West Oakland. The project aims to provide 101 affordable and 205 market-rate units, along with commercial uses within walking distance to the neighborhood BART station. Holliday Development is responsible for the project.

The project proposal includes constructing an apartment building with 87 units with a parking garage. This new four-story development will replace a warehouse building. Levy Design Partners is managing the design concepts and construction of the project.

The project will transform a currently vacant parcel on Downtown Oakland’s border and just under fifteen minutes walk from the 19th Street Oakland BART station. Oak Brook Partners is responsible for the development, dubbed Villa Oakland.
