Avenues: World School is best known as the school where each student will get a MacBook and an iPad. Since it started in New York City in 2012 with admission fees for K-12 rivaling college, it has expanded to Brazil and Shenzhen. Now, the high-end private school is planning a new campus in the heart of Silicon Valley. Renderings reveal the proposed 547,459 square-foot campus at 550 Meridian Avenue, San Jose.

Building Permit Filed for 249 Mississippi Street in Potrero Hill

The planned construction of a two unit property in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood is moving ahead with building permits being filed this week. The project was previously reported on by SF YIMBY in July of 2024 during it’s original planning phase, but more detailed plans and information have now been released. Craig Steely Architecture is responsible for the project design.

Transamerica Pyramid Time Capsule Gallery Open To Public

Last week, Michael Shvo showed up to his newly reopened skyscraper to unveil the contents of the once-forgotten time capsule for the Transamerica Pyramid. The memorabilia from the 51-year-old container is now on display inside the Transamerica Annex, revealing a snapshot in San Francisco’s local culture and history related to the controversial addition to the skyline. The gallery is open to the public with access from Washington Street.
