Recent permit activity has renewed focus on Empire Lumber’s mixed-use project for 1260 East Santa Clara Street in Five Wounds, San Jose. The proposal is to create a commercial area capped by over three hundred apartments, near the future 28th Street Little Portugal BART Station. Pacific States Industries Development is responsible for the proposal as project client.
The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to decide on an appeal later today of The Mark, a 23-story student-oriented project to be built at 475 South 4th Street in Downtown San Jose. Detailed renderings have been published for the three-tower apartment proposal at 420 South 2nd Street and 420 South 3rd Street in Downtown San Jose. Later tonight, the project will be reviewed by the San Jose Historic Landmarks Commission, which is expected to recommend approval for the demolition of the existing structures. Urban Community and Terrascape Ventures are in a joint venture for the development.
New high-resolution renderings have been revealed for the proposed six-story office building at 300 South Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale. The project is part of the city-altering CityLine Sunnyvale development that is bringing housing, offices, retail, and a new public park to Santa Clara County’s second most populous city. The project is being led by STC Venture LLC, a joint venture with Hunter Properties and Sares Regis Group.
Plans have been approved this summer for Centro Callan, a mixed-use development at 1188 East 14th Street in Old San Leandro. The five-story proposal will add 196 new dwelling units on top of a new specialty grocery store. Sansome Pacific and The Martin Group are jointly responsible for the development.
