Facade Installation Nearly Finished for 5M Phase One, SoMa, San Francisco

A year after SFYIMBY first covered San Francisco’s only new office tower to be delivered in 2021, construction work is wrapping up at 5M on 415 Natoma Street and 434 Minna Street in SoMa. Located by the 5th and Mission Street intersection, Brookfield is readying the new office tower and residential tower, expanding the high-rise plateau southwest of the Yerba Buena Gardens and Moscone Center. Brookfield and Hearst are jointly responsible for the billion-dollar project.

Documents Filed for 650 Divisadero Street Plan Alamo Square, San Francisco

A new application has breathed new life into the years-old plan for a six-story mixed-use building for 650 Divisadero Street in San Francisco’s Alamo Square neighborhood. A transit demand management application has been filed, fulfilling a requirement for approval. The project will add 66 rental units to the housing market, including some affordable units. Divco Group is responsible for the development.

Mayor Celebrates Opening of 490 South Van Ness Avenue, Mission District, San Francisco

A new affordable housing complex is now available on the market at 490 South Van Ness Avenue in Mission District, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the construction of a seven-story housing complex. Mayor London N. Breed celebrated the grand opening. Mission Housing Development Corporation (MHDC) and BRIDGE Housing are the project developers. Local architects Ankrom Moisan Architects and G7A are managing the design concepts and construction.
