The project proposal includes the development of a residential complex with apartments reserved for seniors, replacing a single-story commercial building on the site. The Planning Commission approved the Site Development Review Permit on November 23, 2021. Nonprofit entity Eden Housing is the project developer.
Newly updated plans have been submitted seeking the approval of a mixed-use project at 1057 El Camino Real in Redwood City. The project proposal includes developing a strip mall into a transit village featuring new homes, commercial space, and public open space. Lowe and Eden Housing is the project applicant and developer. Current property owners Safeway and Regency Centers Corporation are also stakeholders in the project. Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum, Inc (HOK) is managing the design concept and construction.
Permits have been filed seeking the approval of a residential project located at 425 Auzerais Avenue in San Jose. The project proposal includes the development of 100 percent affordable residences. Eden Housing is the project applicant. OJK Architecture + Planning is responsible for the design concepts. L&D Construction is the general contractor.
New plans have been filed for a four-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 525 East Charleston Road in Palo Alto, Silicon Valley. If approved, the project, dubbed the Mitchell Park Project, could add 50 new rental apartments for lower-income households to the historically housing-averse city. Eden Housing will develop the building on land leased by the County of Santa Clara.
The Hayward Planning Commission has approved plans to build two five-story residential buildings and the second location for The Primary School, an innovative school founded in 2016 by Meredith Liu and Dr. Priscilla Chan, wife of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg. The project will rise from a new street, in Hayward, an East Bay city with around 160,000 residents in Alameda County. At full build-out, the project will have 176 dwelling units and 384 students between preschool and fifth grade.
