Plans Review Tomorrow for 450 O’Farrell Street in Tenderloin, San Francisco

Updated plans have been filed for the 17-story mixed-use infill at 450 O’Farrell Street in the Tenderloin, San Francisco. The proposal has been adjusted since an appeal was upheld by the Board of Supervisors in late 2021. Forge Development Partners, the project applicant, has replaced the micro-unit style housing at the center of the appeal for traditional apartments and raised the project by four floors.

Redevelopment Approved At 550 East Brokaw Road In San Jose

Last time since SF YIMBY’s update, the redevelopment project has been approved for construction at 550 East Brokaw Road in North San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project proposal includes the development of seven buildings offering almost two million square feet of office space and a public park. The site former housed Fry’s Electronics, a national big-box store selling electronics that dramatically closed all locations in February of 2021. Demolition will be required for the existing structure. Caracol Property Owner LLC is listed as the property owner. Bay West Development is responsible for the proposal, with architectural designs by Gensler.

The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to review the site development permits proposal for the redevelopment of the former Fry’s Electronics property at 550 East Brokaw Road in North San Jose, Santa Clara County. The project would reshape a 19.7-acre property occupied by the box store and surface parking with almost two million square feet of office space and a public park. Office Approved At 777 Airport Boulevard, Burlingame, San Mateo County

A new office project has been approved for construction at 777 Airport Boulevard in Burlingame, San Mateo County. The project proposal includes the development of a 13 story office tower. Demolition will be required for the existing five-story Red Roof PLUS hotel and the attached Leann’s cafe. San Francisco-based real estate firm Lincoln Property Company is the project developer. The project is designed by Gensler. Petersen Studio is the landscape architect.
