Increased plans have been filed for The Hub, the mixed-use tower at 2128 Oxford Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The application has nearly doubled in residential capacity while the height has been raised from 17 to 25 floors tall. On top, a rooftop bar and restaurant will offer commanding views of the surrounding region and, potentially, two more similarly-tall buildings. Core Spaces is the developer.

A pre-application has been filed for a 26-story residential tower at 1974 Shattuck Avenue. If approved, it would become the tallest building in Downtown Berkeley, and among the tallest residential buildings in Alameda County. A preliminary application has been filed seekinf approvals for modifications at 2015 Blake Street in Downtown Berkeley. The project proposal includes the addition of residential units to the existing units and increasing the building height to eight floors. Plans call for the demolition of the existing commercial buildings and one duplex on the site. Rhoades Planning Group is the project applicant. Richard Nagler Properties LLC is the property owner. Lowney Architecture is responsible for the design concepts.
