The city of San Francisco and its Mayor, London Breed, celebrated the groundbreaking of Bayfront Park in Mission Bay. The ceremony, held last week, announced the opening of a new park between Chase Center and San Francisco Bay. The Bayfront Park project is managed by the Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure (OCII) and built by Mission Bay’s master developer, FOCIL-MB LLC.
The Burlingame Planning Commission is scheduled to review the design for a 12-story office project at 777 Airport Boulevard, along the San Mateo County bayside waterfront. The project would continue the city’s expanding office presence in a prominent strip of land by 101. LPC West, the West Coast division of the international real estate firm, Lincoln Property Company, is responsible for the project.
Swinerton crews have topped off The Canyon, the tallest residential tower in San Francisco to reach the milestone in 2022. The Canyon is a 23-story residential tower rising on Parcel A in the Mission Rock development along the Mission Bay waterfront. The master plan by Mission Rock Partners, a joint venture between the San Francisco Giants and Tishman Speyer, is replacing 28 acres of former surface parking with over a thousand units of housing, offices, retail, and new public parks.
Updated renderings have been revealed with detailed plans for the Monarch Bay Shoreline Development project, poised to reshape 75 acres of the San Leandro waterfront. The plans would reshape a swath of surface parking and a portion of an existing golf course into 491 residential units, a 210-room hotel, and shops between Marina Park and the Oakland International Airport in Alameda County. The project is a public-private partnership with the City of San Leandro and Cal Coast Companies.
The application for Environmental Scoping, Commercial Design Review, Conditional Use Permit, and Parking Variance has been filed for a project at 410 Airport Boulevard in Burlingame, San Mateo. The project proposal includes the construction of a new public recreation park and education center. California State Lands Commission is the property owner. SERA Architects Inc is the architect responsible for the design concepts. H.T. Harvey & Associates is the landscape architect. The Sphere Institute is the project applicant.
