Meeting Thursday for 38-Story Tower at 98 Franklin Street, San Francisco

Amended plans will be reviewed for 98 Franklin Street during the San Francisco Planning Commission Hearing this Thursday. The alterations were first revealed in mid-November with an additional floor, higher rooftop, and increased residential capacity from 345 to 385 units in The Hub. Affordable housing needs have also been shifted offsite to Parcel K in Hayes Valley and 600 Van Ness Avenue. Related and the French American International School are jointly responsible for the project.

YIMBY Visits Treasure Island, San Francisco

A recent site visit to Treasure Island by YIMBY reveals significant progress has been made for the region’s most active construction project. Cranes and rising concrete have only started to divulge the scale of the 405-acre vision, nearly three decades in the making, that will redevelop San Francisco’s storied artificial island with a mixed-use urban neighborhood populated by around eight thousand homes. The Treasure Island Community Development joint venture sponsors the project.

Increased Plans Progress for 98 Franklin Street, San Francisco

New reporting by the San Francisco Chronicle shows plans for the residential tower at 98 Franklin Street are increasing residential capacity to 385 units in a deal with the city’s Board of Supervisors that will include a new affordable housing property bought by the developer for the city. The agreement was made between Supervisor Dean Preston and the developer, Related Companies.
