Vertical addition and expansion has been proposed for a commercial building at 729 Bush Street in Downtown, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of a four-story vertical addition to an existing one-story commercial building. John Lum Architects is responsible for the designs.
New reporting by the San Francisco Chronicle shows plans for the residential tower at 98 Franklin Street are increasing residential capacity to 385 units in a deal with the city’s Board of Supervisors that will include a new affordable housing property bought by the developer for the city. The agreement was made between Supervisor Dean Preston and the developer, Related Companies.
Construction has topped out for the 14-story UC Law San Francisco development at 198 McAllister Street in San Francisco’s Civic Center neighborhood. The project represents phase two of the Academic Village redevelopment of the city block. The project is a joint venture with the UCSF College of the Law San Francisco and Greystar. Once complete, it will provide dorms, classrooms, and a variety of facilities by the summer of 2023.

With site work already underway, Lendlease and city leaders have celebrated the official groundbreaking ceremony of 30 Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco’s Civic Center. The 47-story project, now titled Hayes Point, is set to open by 2025, with 333 homes above offices and retail.
