Construction Tops Out for 3001 24th Street Senior Housing, Mission District, San Francisco

Construction has topped out for the five-story affordable housing project at 3001 24th Street in the Mission District of San Francisco. The project will provide 45 new units for senior citizens in a retail and transit-rich thoroughfare. Mission Neighborhood Centers and Mercy Housing are responsible for the development, after purchasing it from Pepsico nearly twenty-five years ago.

Facade Spotted on KQED’s HQ Renovation at 2601 Mariposa Street, Mission, San Francisco

Construction is moving swiftly for the revamped KQED headquarters. The long-time home for the iconic Bay Area-based media station at 2601 Mariposa Street, Mission District, is redefining itself to accommodate for their significant growth since purchasing the lot in 1991. While their personality and care for broadcasts have endeared them to the public, their new design invites the public inside. EHDD Architects, also known for the Exploratorium at Pier 15, are responsible for the design.

SFMTA’s Potrero Yard is going to the Planning Commission, Mission District, San Francisco

Recent filings have resurfaced the proposed 575-unit residential and transit hub development of Potrero Yards at 2500 Mariposa Street, Mission District, San Francisco. A memo to the historic preservation commission shows that the SFMTA is planning for how to proceed without or without approval to demolish a two-story 1915-built structure on site. If fully approved, the project would yield over 1.3 million square feet.
