Plans are under review for a new senior housing project at Bishop Ranch 1A in San Ramon, Contra Costa County. The proposal is part of the much larger 4,500-unit CityWalk master plan, spearheaded by Sunset Development to create a new district in the city. This first portion will create 183 beds, offering assisted and independent living for seniors living in the Tri-Valley. The Texas-based Belmont Village Senior Housing company is sponsoring the development.

If built, the project will produce 63 affordable senior housing units, including an on-site manager’s unit. The development will subdivide the lot and demolish a small surface parking lot.
