The project proposal includes the construction of a ten-story mixed-use project with spaces for residential and commercial uses. CITYshapers Inc is the project applicant. Twelve Oaks Investment LLC is the property owner. Hunt Hale Jones Architects is managing the design concepts and construction.
The City of Oakland’s Planning Department is scheduled today to review the preliminary development plans and receive public comment about the mixed-use proposal around the Lake Merritt BART Station in Downtown Oakland. The proposal would reshape two city blocks at 51 9th Street and 107 8th Street with apartments, office space, retail, open space, and community amenities. The prolific Strada Investment Group and the Oakland-based East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation are responsible through a joint venture.
The Oakland Planning Commission is scheduled to vote on plans for 415 20th Street in Downtown Oakland, a 38-story office building poised to be the largest building in the Bay Area outside of San Francisco. City Staff has recommended the commission give approval, subject to conditions, in tomorrow’s 3 PM meeting. The decision will be appealable to the city council. Hines is responsible for the 622-foot proposal.

Strada Investment Group and the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation are jointly responsible for the development.
An application has been submitted to Oakland Planning Commission seeking the approval of a four-story, multi-family residential building with 23 units at 913-923 Martin Luther King Junior Way, Downtown Oakland. The proposal requires the review of the overall composition of the building, including the materials, articulations, fenestration, and massing. YHLA Architects is managing the design concept and construction.
