Sacramento Republic FC has announced plans to build a new Major League Soccer stadium by downtown Sacramento. The new sports center will be named Railyards Stadium, with the design by the Missouri-based MANICA Architecture. The project would cost nearly one billion dollars, with a new urban neighborhood zoned in the adjacent lots.
Sand Hill Property Company has released detailed renderings for the approved 50-acre redevelopment of Vallco Mall in Cupertino, Santa Clara County. Located across the I-280 freeway from Apple Park, ‘The Rise’ will offer a more public mixed-use site with open space, shops, offices, and over two thousand homes. The futuristic proposal features design by the internationally acclaimed Rafael Viñoly Architects.
A new rendering has been published ahead of tomorrow’s meeting with Oakland’s Design Review Committee for Brooklyn Basin, a waterfront master-planned development. The request would expand the development’s residential capacity to hold 3,700 apartments, with over a hundred more boat slips. Oakland-based Signature Development Group is developing the project, with joint financing from Signature, Zarsion Holdings Group, and Reynolds & Brown.
New renderings have been published for The Hub, a 17-story mixed-use development at 2132 Center Street in Downtown Berkeley. The project will create 283 apartments designed for students attending UC Berkeley. The Hub is well located for such a purpose, as it will rise across from the campus’s western entrance. Core Spaces is the project developer.
New permits have been filed for a five-story affordable housing project at 3001 El Camino Real in Ventura, Palo Alto. The development will replace a single-story commercial structure and surface parking along the Peninsula’s commercial artery, close to the California Avenue Caltrain station, with 129 new homes. Charities Housing is the project owner, operating through El Camino PA LP.
