New building permits have been filed for the construction of a new four-story center for the Jewish Family and Children’s Services Holocaust Center at 2245 Post Street in the Lower Pacific Heights, San Francisco. The complex will serve as a future headquarters for the non-profit social service organization, alongside a ground-floor exhibition, archives, a Holocaust library, and meeting spaces. JFCS is listed as the property owner.

Plans Shift for Warfield Building Conversion in San Francisco

Plans for the nine-story Warfield Building are shifting from residential to cultural conversion at 988 Market Street in San Francisco’s Mid-Market neighborhood. Community Arts Stabilization Trust and KALW Public Media have made a joint announcement sharing plans to turn the historic building into a hub for arts and journalism dubbed Warfield Commons. Group I had previously pursued a conversion of the Warfield Group into housing.

African American Holistic Resource Center Planned at 1890 Alcatraz Avenue, Berkeley

A new three-story building has been proposed for use as the African American Holistic Resource Center (AAHRC) on a project site located at 1890 Alcatraz Avenue in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story facility to host services to benefit the African American community with education, employment, health, mental health, and housing advocacy and support. The City of Berkeley is the property owner. The design team includes the AAHRC Steering Committee, City Staff, and AE3 Partners, Inc.
