The proposal will bring eight stories of future lab space alongside a seven-story garage. It is the second joint venture between Helios Real Estate Partners and King Street Properties in the San Mateo County city, the first of which has already topped out half a mile away.

Construction has started for a new five-story life sciences complex at 200 Twin Dolphin Drive in Redwood City, San Mateo County. The plan will replace a low-slung office campus in the Redwood Shores neighborhood by Foster City and San Carlos. Trammell Crow Company is the project developer.

The project would reshape the nearly four-acre property with new office or R&D space surrounded by public landscaping. Boca Lake Office, linked with San Francisco-based developer Lawrence Lui and Vassar Properties, is the property owner.
