The application uses the builder’s remedy to streamline the approval process, varying from 135 to 171 homes. San Jose-based Bertram Berns is responsible for the application.
The final design review application has been filed for 2587 Telegraph Avenue in Southside, Berkeley. The approved project aims to bring hundreds of bedrooms in an eight-story building close to People’s Park and the UC Berkeley campus. Gilbane Development Company is the project developer.
