The construction of a new residential complex at 6700 Golden Gate Drive in Dublin has moved forward. Real estate investment firm, AvalonBay Communities bought the project site last month. The property site currently houses an industrial building which is proposed for demolition. The property was purchased though an affiliate and costed around $38.6 million.
The City of Palo Alto has reviewed an application for the entitlement of a 16-building townhome development at 200 Portage Avenue in the affluent city in Santa Clara County. The project would add a low-slung residential project eight minutes from the California Avenue Caltrain Station on a portion of the former Fry’s Electronics property. The Sobrato Organization is responsible for the application.
Plans for a four-story residential development have been approved for 85 Cleaveland Road by Pleasant Hill City Council, Contra Costa County. The project will add a significant enclave for housing in a retail-dense neighborhood walking distance from a grocery store. Blake Griggs Properties is responsible for the development.
Permits reveal updates on the development at 720 Montague Expressway in Milpitas, earlier approved by Milpitas City Council. The project is a five-story mixed-use structure with residential units, parking space, and retail space.
Residential developer, SummerHill Housing Group, is managing the project. Hunt Hale Jones and KTGY Architects are responsible for design concept and construction.
Construction has passed the first floor for the first of a dozen buildings expected in the Tasman East Specific Plan in Santa Clara. 2233 Calle del Mundo will become a six-story residential building producing 196 apartments across 179,000 square feet. St. Anton Communities is the project developer.
