Concrete has topped out with facade installation underway for the eight-story affordable housing complex at 730 Stanyan Street in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. The white and gray precast panels showcase the design from the influential architecture studio, OMA. Once complete, there will be 160 new permanently affordable apartments, retail, community space, and a childcare facility next to Amoeba Music, Whole Foods, and Golden Gate Park.

Concrete is rising for the OMA-designed affordable housing complex at 730 Stanyan Street in San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury neighborhood. The eight-story corner build is set to bring 160 units across from Golden Gate Park by 2025. The development is a joint venture with CCDC and TNDC.

Groundbreaking for OMA-Designed Affordable Housing in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco

Construction has started ahead of schedule for the eight-story affordable housing building in San Francisco’s Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. The new project is designed by the internationally renowned Office for Metropolitan Architecture, known as OMA, with 160 permanently affordable apartments, retail, neighborhood-serving community space, and a childcare facility at 730 Stanyan Street.

Final Environmental Impact Report Published for Meta’s Willow Village, Menlo Park

The Final Environmental Impact Report has been published for Willow Village, the 59-acre mixed-use development proposed for Menlo Park in San Mateo County. The masterplan imagines a dense campus with offices, housing, a hotel, and public open space functioning as a new neighborhood and a working destination for the Facebook parent company, Meta. Signature Development Group and Peninsula Innovation Partners are the project developer.

New Building Permits Approved, Updated Design for 730 Stanyan Street in San Francisco

New building permits have been approved by the Planning Department for the construction of an eight-story affordable infill at 730 Stanyan Street in Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco. The project is expected to cost just over a million dollars per unit, costing nearly $166 million. Along with the approval, the Board of Supervisors has passed a resolution supporting potential state funding for the project, and new design plans have been revealed from OMA.

CEQA Review Underway for Meta’s Willow Village in Menlo Park

Progress is being made on Willow Village, a 59-acre mixed-use urban development proposed by Facebook’s owner, Meta, in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The Draft Environmental Impact Report was published last week, making an essential step towards approval, and the project team has announced new refinements based on community feedback. The project is located on Block 8 of the Transbay development district and inside the highly redeveloped East Cut neighborhood. Rem Koolhaas’ Office of Metropolitan Architecture is responsible for the tapered design.

$60 Million Building Permits Filed for 730 Stanyan Street, Haight-Ashbury, San Francisco

The project will create 120 affordable units for low and middle-income households, focusing on providing housing to the unhoused. Facebook and Signature Release New Renderings of Willow Village, Menlo Park

Facebook and Signature Development Group have announced that they have submitted newly detailed planning documents for their proposed mixed-use district dubbed Willow Village in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The proposal will cover nearly 60 acres with a mixture of housing, office space, retail, and public parks. Two phases of construction will yield over 3.3 million square feet of built area. OMA, one of the most influential architecture firms still active, is responsible for the design.
