New high-resolution renderings have been revealed for the proposed six-story office building at 300 South Mathilda Avenue in Sunnyvale. The project is part of the city-altering CityLine Sunnyvale development that is bringing housing, offices, retail, and a new public park to Santa Clara County’s second most populous city. The project is being led by STC Venture LLC, a joint venture with Hunter Properties and Sares Regis Group.

Plans have been approved this summer for Centro Callan, a mixed-use development at 1188 East 14th Street in Old San Leandro. The five-story proposal will add 196 new dwelling units on top of a new specialty grocery store. Sansome Pacific and The Martin Group are jointly responsible for the development.

2354 Calle Del Mundo Expects Approval, Tasman East, Santa Clara

The Santa Clara Planning Commission has been recommended to approve plans for 2354 Calle Del Mundo in the Tasman East Specific Plan area at the northern edge of Santa Clara. The eight-story building is expected to add 89 new units near Lafayette Street as part of the rising neighborhood of potentially over four thousand apartments. If approved, it will become the latest of eleven proposals for the area. Long Beach-based Ensemble Real Estate Investments is responsible for the development.

The City of San Jose is starting the public review period for 475 South 4th Street, a new 23-story residential tower in Downtown San Jose. The 274-foot tower is planned to add 240 rental apartments with student-focused amenities to the South Bay housing market. Urban Catalyst is responsible for the development, dubbed The Mark.

The City of Palo Alto has reviewed an application for the entitlement of a 16-building townhome development at 200 Portage Avenue in the affluent city in Santa Clara County. The project would add a low-slung residential project eight minutes from the California Avenue Caltrain Station on a portion of the former Fry’s Electronics property. The Sobrato Organization is responsible for the application.

The developer, Urban Catalyst, is proposing a six-story assisted living facility consisting of 116 units.

The city staff recommends the approval of two resolutions and the commission to file a Notice of Determination for CEQA. The Mountain View-based Sobrato Organization is responsible for the development.

The proposal will replace a car dealership with 199 new rental apartments for the Oakland housing market, of which 16 will be low-income housing. The Martin Group is responsible for the project as applicant and property owner.

The project will bring 215 new apartments beside 10,000 square feet of retail, a new public park, and 276,610 square feet of new office space within walking distance from a Caltrain station. Stanford University is sponsoring the development.
