Westbank & Dillabough Buys Land Next to Proposed Arbor Offices, Downtown San Jose

Westbank and Gary Dillabough of Urban Community have purchased a vacant parcel expected to become housing at 201 West Julian Street in Downtown San Jose. The $11.4 million transaction adds to the development team’s impressive six-project roster for the city, including an office tower designed by Studio Gang at 255 West Julian Street. Given the development team’s other ambitious proposals, there is high anticipation about what they plan to do at 201 West Julian.

New Renderings for The Energy Hub at 35 South 2nd Street, Downtown San Jose

New renderings have been shared for The Energy Hub at 35 South 2nd Street, a proposed mixed-use tower designed by the internationally renowned Bjarke Ingels Group. The new illustrations show more intimate perspectives of the terracotta louver-wrapped tower, with shaded balconies and a brick plaza going right up to the transparent curtain walls. 35 South 2nd Street is part of a five-project masterplan by Westbank with Gary Dillabough of Urban Community to invest in Downtown San Jose sustainability, urbanization, and expansion.

New Imagery Revealed for Park Habitat at 180 Park Avenue, Downtown San Jose

New renderings have been revealed from a public meeting for 180 Park Avenue, i.e., Park Habitat, an innovatively designed 20-story office and expansion for the Tech Interactive museum building proposed for Downtown San Jose. Park Habitat is one of five projects from the joint venture between Vancouver-based Westbank and Gary Dillabough of Urban Community. Each project would add new density to the capital of Silicon Valley with innovative designs and sustainable architecture.

Renderings for The Orchard from Westbank’s Master Vision for Downtown San Jose

Earlier this month, Westbank released their master vision for five skyline-defining developments across downtown San Jose. Today, we highlight The Orchard, producing two towers at 300 South 1st Street and the third tower at 409 South 2nd Street, called The Orchard Workspace and The Orchard Residential. The Orchard yields over two million square feet combined, producing a campus of offices, housing, retail, and restaurants.
