Joint Meeting Scheduled for Icon-Echo Proposal in Downtown San Jose

A joint community and environmental public scoping meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow to review the plans for the Icon-Echo Towers, a mixed-use proposal for Downtown San Jose. The development, by Urban Catalyst, is expected to create two towers connected by a four-story podium, adding over half a million square feet of commercial space and over four hundred new apartments.

San Jose Planning Department To Consider Appeal for 475 South 4th Street, Downtown Jose

The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to decide on an appeal later today of The Mark, a 23-story student-oriented project to be built at 475 South 4th Street in Downtown San Jose. The public teleconference meeting is scheduled to begin today, October 13th, at 6:30 PM. City staff has recommended the commission reject the appeal and approve the special use permits to commence construction. New Renderings Published for 420 South 2nd and 3rd Street, Downtown San Jose

Detailed renderings have been published for the three-tower apartment proposal at 420 South 2nd Street and 420 South 3rd Street in Downtown San Jose. Later tonight, the project will be reviewed by the San Jose Historic Landmarks Commission, which is expected to recommend approval for the demolition of the existing structures. Urban Community and Terrascape Ventures are in a joint venture for the development.
