Wednesday was busy for San Francisco’s senior housing non-profit Self-Help for the Elderly. In the evening, SHE had scheduled their first community outreach regarding over two hundred affordable senior homes proposed along Ocean Beach in the Sunset. During the day, Mayor London Breed announced the acquisition of 933 Clement Street in the Richmond District for SHE to convert into affordable senior housing and a community dining space.

Meeting Today on Affordable Senior Housing at 1234 Great Highway, Sunset District

The developers behind a proposed senior affordable housing project along the Great Highway are holding a public meeting tonight at the South Sunset Community Center. The event will be held tonight, November 8th, between 6-8PM at 2601 40th Avenue in San Francisco. Speaking with YIMBY, a representative for the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation shared that the proposal is “very early in the development process,” with more community meeting opportunities expected to occur early next year. TNDC and Self-Help for the Elderly are jointly responsible for the plan.
