The Menlo Park Planning Commission has approved four architectural plans for Meta’s Willow Village in San Mateo County. The city reviewed Safdie Architect’s glass-domed meeting and collaboration space, the town square, the office campus, and two apartment buildings. Facebook’s parent company is working with Signature Development Group in a joint venture called the Peninsula Innovation Partners.
Construction is underway for Pear Village, a mixed-use project with offices and housing at 1255 Pear Avenue in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The project is set to create 635 homes beside the new six-story office building. The Sobrato Organization is the developer.
Development permits have been filed for the final phase of Baywalk, a master plan to replace the former Pittsburg Power Plant with nearly two thousand homes, a hotel, and public open space along the Contra Costa County coastline. The development will cover just a fifth of the 1,047-acre bayside property. Integral Communities is responsible for the project.
Three project applications with nearly nine hundred units have been published for buildings in the Parkmerced master plan next to the SFSU campus in San Francisco. The submissions are scheduled to be reviewed during the city’s Planning Commission meeting this Thursday. The informational presentation will allow staff and the public to comment on each project. San Francisco-based Maximus Real Estate Partners is the property owner and development sponsor.
The Gateway at Millbrae Station mixed-use development is officially open in Millbrae, San Mateo County. The project has brought affordable housing, market-rate housing, offices, a hotel, and new retail directly across from the county’s largest transit hub, serviced by BART, Caltrain, SamTrans, and eventually, the High-Speed Rail. Republic Urban Properties is the project sponsor.
