Planning applications have been filed for a new three-block mixed-use development at 200, 211, and 215 North 16th Street, located on the outskirts of Downtown Sacramento within the River District Special Planning District. If built, the project would expand the urban core with 540 new dwelling units and roughly 70,000 square feet of commercial use. Bauen Capital is responsible for the development.

New renderings have been revealed ahead of a planning commission hearing for a mixed-use mid-rise building at 490 Brannan Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project would replace an existing commercial structure and surface parking a 185-foot tall building with offices, space for the arts, child-care, and retail. Strada Investment Group is behind the proposal after acquiring the property in 2015.

Concrete has reached the fifth floor in constructing an affordable housing building at 681 Florida Street in San Francisco’s Mission District neighborhood. The development is expected to add 130 affordable dwelling units along with open space and a ground-floor home to an arts-related organization. The Mission Economic Development Agency (MEDA) and the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation (TNDC) have partnered as project developers.
