Construction Underway on Yerba Buena Island, San Francisco

San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Island, in the water halfway between the city and Oakland, is being redeveloped with over two hundred apartments. Commuters on the Bay Bridge will have already noticed The Bristol Residences, a newly-clad apartment complex facing the East Bay. Now, groundbreaking has occurred and construction is underway for the Townhomes and the Flats residences. San Francisco-based Stockbridge Capital Group and the developer Wilson Meany are jointly developing for the project. CAHill is responsible for construction.

The San Jose Planning Commission is scheduled to decide on an appeal later today of The Mark, a 23-story student-oriented project to be built at 475 South 4th Street in Downtown San Jose. The public teleconference meeting is scheduled to begin today, October 13th, at 6:30 PM. City staff has recommended the commission reject the appeal and approve the special use permits to commence construction. Demolition Permits Filed For 111 Independence Drive In Menlo Park

Demolition permits have been submitted for a single-story building located at 111 Independence Drive in Menlo Park. Plans call for the development of an apartment building on the project site. The new development has been approved by the City Planning Commission. SP Menlo LLC is the project applicant. 2354 Calle Del Mundo Expects Approval, Tasman East, Santa Clara

The Santa Clara Planning Commission has been recommended to approve plans for 2354 Calle Del Mundo in the Tasman East Specific Plan area at the northern edge of Santa Clara. The eight-story building is expected to add 89 new units near Lafayette Street as part of the rising neighborhood of potentially over four thousand apartments. If approved, it will become the latest of eleven proposals for the area. Long Beach-based Ensemble Real Estate Investments is responsible for the development.

The 274-foot tower is planned to add 240 rental apartments with student-focused amenities to the South Bay housing market. Urban Catalyst is responsible for the development, dubbed The Mark.
