Urban Catalyst is preparing for vertical construction on Keystone, their extended-stay hotel at 495 West San Carlos Street in San Jose by Diridon Station. The eight-story Marriott TowneSuites Hotel is the only of its type under construction in the city, responding to demand from the city’s construction industry, conferences, and concerts. Completion is expected by 2025.

The project will open a 176-room Marriott TowneSuites Hotel by the Google Downtown West mixed-use plan. Urban Catalyst, the project developer, has shared with YIMBY that they expect to start demolition during the next couple of weeks.
Greystar will request a first-time extension today for the approved architectural review of Parcels 20 and 27 within the Tasman East Specific Plan in Santa Clara. The plans include 371 rental units at 2225 Calle De Luna and 2232 Calle Del Mundo. The request will be made during the city’s Development Review Hearing, scheduled to start at 3 PM today.
A new mixed-use project has been approved for construction at 557 East Bayshore Road in Redwood City, San Mateo County. The project proposal includes the development of two five-story buildings offering residential and commercial spaces along with onsite amenities, outdoor spaces, and parking. SyRES Properties is the project developer. BDE Architecture is responsible for the designs.
Representatives for 3700 California Street have filed a request to extend the approved entitlement for a 31-building residential redevelopment of the Sutter Health-owned medical campus in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights. The move comes after TMG and Sutter Health backed out of the redevelopment plans in May of this year. The campus was listed for sale by CBRE.
