Formal plans have been filed for 50 1st Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The latest application provides details about the 913-foot tower, dubbed Fifty at First, as well as more information about the potential mixed-use second phase at 528 Mission Street. The San Francisco Recovery Fund is overseeing the development.
The Final Environmental Impact Report has been published for the master plan to redevelop the Tanforan Mall into a mixed-use neighborhood in San Bruno, San Mateo County. The proposal looks to add at least a thousand apartments, over a million square feet of life science and office space, and new retail space across the BART-adjacent 44-acre property. Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Strada Investment Group are jointly responsible for the project.

The site has been a prominent mothballed pit in the heart of the city after construction ceased in 2020 amid the former developer’s financial turmoil. Now, the project team is looking to open Fifth at First as early as 2031.
The final environmental impact report has been published for the UC Berkeley Space Center at NASA Research Park in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The review provides a master plan with maximum and minimum development parameters for the potential new research and innovation hub working with the space agency. The project is being developed by Moffett Partners LLC, a joint venture with The Regents of the University of California and SKS Partners.
New building permits have been filed for three structures within the UCSF Laurel Heights campus redevelopment around 3333 California Street in the Laurel Heights neighborhood of San Francisco. The filings would contribute 200 dwelling units to the 744-unit master plan. Prado Group and SKS Partners are responsible for the development.
