Renderings for the Monarch Bay Shoreline Project in San Leandro

Updated renderings have been revealed with detailed plans for the Monarch Bay Shoreline Development project, poised to reshape 75 acres of the San Leandro waterfront. The plans would reshape a swath of surface parking and a portion of an existing golf course into 491 residential units, a 210-room hotel, and shops between Marina Park and the Oakland International Airport in Alameda County. The project is a public-private partnership with the City of San Leandro and Cal Coast Companies.

Over Quarter Billion Dollars in Funding Secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, San Jose

Construction funding has been secured for 1330 South Bascom Avenue, a large eight-story multi-family building in west San Jose. The development team received $284 million from an Australian pension and retirement fund to build The Maxwell, the nearly six hundred unit apartment component of the transit-oriented South Bascom Gateway Station masterplan. Newmark announced in a press release that construction is expected to start by the end of the month.

Entitlement Under Review For 660 University Avenue, Palo Alto

Entitlements are under review for a proposed mixed-use at 660 University Avenue in Palo Alto. The project proposal includes the development of a planned community to combine three parcels into one to construct a new four-story mixed-use building offering residential and office spaces. The site currently houses a two-story office building spanning an area of 9,216 square feet which will be demolished. Smith Development is the project developer. KSH Architects is responsible for the design concepts. The Guzzardo Partnership Inc is the landscape architect.
