Several demolition permits have been filed to clear the way for 400 Divisadero Street, a residential infill at the corner of Oak Street in San Francisco’s Lower Haight neighborhood. Lowe Buys Land for Sequoia Station Redevelopment, Redwood City

Development plans are moving forward for Sequoia Station, a six-structure mixed-use proposal to reshape the downtown of San Mateo County’s third-largest city. The Los Angeles-based private real estate company, Lowe, has spent $73 million acquiring the second half of the block around 1057 El Camino Real in Redwood City. The firm looks to construct three million square feet of housing and offices, parking, and public open space.

The project proposal includes the development of an eight-story multi-family apartment building featuring commercial and office spaces. AvalonBay Communities is planning to replace the surface parking of an existing residential community with new housing in Mountain View, Santa Clara County. The proposal would retain all 402 residences at 555 West Middlefield Road while creating 323 new homes and an amenity clubhouse on top of over seven acres of surface parking. The project has been endorsed by the Housing Action Coalition.
