Construction is moving along for Celeste at 401 Cypress Avenue in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. Devcon Construction, the general contractor, has completed the concrete podium is now about halfway up to the eight-story pinnacle. The concrete and wood site overlooks the already-opened Bell South City apartments, built by the same developer, Sares Regis Group.
Construction has started for a five-story mixed-use addition at 100 Callan Street in Old San Leandro, Alameda County. Once complete, the structure will contain nearly two hundred homes, a Sprouts grocery store, Union Bank, and other retail space. The project is a joint venture with the Martin Group, Sansome Pacific Properties, and STARS REI.
The Burlingame Planning Commission is scheduled to review slightly expanded plans for 1855-1881 North Rollins Road, by San Mateo County’s southernmost BART Station. The commission is expected to vote on the project, which could add 420 new transit-adjacent homes, with even more parking on-site. The Danville-based Hanover Company is responsible for the applicant.
Demolition permits have been filed for five structures ahead of construction for 2929 Broadway on Pill Hill, Oakland. The 0.93-acre site will be replaced with a seven-story apartment complex to be named Ambrose. Martin Group is the project developer, with development permits approved just over a month ago.
A new mixed-use project has been proposed for construction at 557 East Bayshore Road in Redwood City, San Mateo County. The project proposal includes the development of a mixed-use building offering residential and commercial spaces along with onsite amenities, outdoor spaces, and parking. SyRES Properties is the project developer. BDE Architecture is responsible for the designs.
