Project Applications Filed, Meeting Scheduled for Three Buildings in the Parkmerced Masterplan, San Francisco

Three project applications with nearly nine hundred units have been published for buildings in the Parkmerced master plan next to the SFSU campus in San Francisco. The submissions are scheduled to be reviewed during the city’s Planning Commission meeting this Thursday. The informational presentation will allow staff and the public to comment on each project. San Francisco-based Maximus Real Estate Partners is the property owner and development sponsor.

Concrete has reached the 10th floor of the Helen Diller Anchor House, a mixed-use student dorm for UC Berkeley at 1921 Walnut Street in Downtown Berkeley, Alameda County. The $300 million project is rapidly approaching its 14-floor peak, with plans for 772 apartment-style bedrooms and university facilities. Morris Adjmi Architects is responsible for the design.

New renderings have been revealed ahead of the Planning Commission review of 7 South Linden Avenue, a seven-story residential proposal in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The transit-adjacent project is expected to create 543 homes by the South San Francisco Caltrain Station while expanding the burgeoning urban growth of the downtown area further south. Essex Property Trust is the project developer.

Urban Catalyst is preparing for vertical construction on Keystone, their extended-stay hotel at 495 West San Carlos Street in San Jose by Diridon Station. The eight-story Marriott TowneSuites Hotel is the only of its type under construction in the city, responding to demand from the city’s construction industry, conferences, and concerts. Completion is expected by 2025.

Construction financing for the eight-story hotel at 495 West San Carlos Street by Diridon Station in San Jose has been secured. The project will open a 176-room Marriott TowneSuites Hotel by the Google Downtown West mixed-use plan. Urban Catalyst, the project developer, has shared with YIMBY that they expect to start demolition during the next couple of weeks.

Greystar Requests Extension on Approval for Tasman East Parcels 20 and 27, Santa Clara

Greystar will request a first-time extension today for the approved architectural review of Parcels 20 and 27 within the Tasman East Specific Plan in Santa Clara. The plans include 371 rental units at 2225 Calle De Luna and 2232 Calle Del Mundo. The request will be made during the city’s Development Review Hearing, scheduled to start at 3 PM today.

Residential Project Approved At 557 East Bayshore Road, Redwood City, San Mateo County

The project proposal includes the development of two five-story buildings offering residential and commercial spaces along with onsite amenities, outdoor spaces, and parking. Entitlement Extension Requested of 3700 California Street Masterplan

Representatives for 3700 California Street have filed a request to extend the approved entitlement for a 31-building residential redevelopment of the Sutter Health-owned medical campus in San Francisco’s Presidio Heights. The move comes after TMG and Sutter Health backed out of the redevelopment plans in May of this year. The campus was listed for sale by CBRE.

Devcon Construction, the general contractor, has completed the concrete podium is now about halfway up to the eight-story pinnacle. The concrete and wood site overlooks the already-opened Bell South City apartments, built by the same developer, Sares Regis Group.

Construction Starts for Centro Callan Apartments in San Leandro

Construction has started for a five-story mixed-use addition at 100 Callan Street in Old San Leandro, Alameda County. Once complete, the structure will contain nearly two hundred homes, a Sprouts grocery store, Union Bank, and other retail space. The project is a joint venture with the Martin Group, Sansome Pacific Properties, and STARS REI.
