First New Structure Tops Out, New Renderings for Treasure Island Redevelopment, San Francisco

Construction has topped out on the first new building in the Treasure Island redevelopment plan. The progress comes as San Francisco’s Mayor London Breed embarked on a boat ride from the Ferry Building to Treasure Island’s new passenger boat terminal last week, ahead of the January 2022 start of public ferry rides. Treasure Island’s roughly 8,000 unit redevelopment plan is led by Treasure Island Community Development (TICD), a partnership with Stockbridge Capital Group, Wilson Meany, and Lennar Corporation.

Development permits have been filed seeking the approval of a new residential project proposed at 1320 Washington Street in Nob Hill, San Francisco. The project proposal includes the development of a new six-story building with a basement. Plans call for the demolition of an existing two-story commercial public parking garage. The 29th tallest building in the Bay Area planned or built is 706 Mission Street, the nearly complete residential building operated by Four Seasons Private Residences in SoMa, San Francisco. The skyscraper tops out at 510 feet to be the tallest building in the region actively under construction since activity on the Oceanwide Center was halted last year. Westbrook Partners is responsible for the development through 706 Mission Street Co LLC.
