Construction has topped out on the eight-story housing complex at 420 Mendocino Avenue in Downtown Santa Rosa, Sonoma County. Related California started construction in 2023 after securing a $61.4 million construction financing loan with East West Bank, Preferred Bank, and RED Housing Fund. Now that the structure has topped out, crews are on schedule for the projected opening in Spring 2025.
The San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit Board of Directors recently reviewed the latest plans for the El Cerrito Plaza BART Station. The public presentation includes a tentative phasing schedule, which says construction on the several-hundred-unit masterplan could start as early as next year. The transit agency is working with Related California and Holliday Development.
A zoning worksheet permit has been filed for the affordable senior housing proposal at 2372 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The new application has reduced its residential capacity from 60 to 52 units. Agnes Memorial Church has partnered with Related California to develop the project.
The San Francisco Planning Commission is scheduled to vote tomorrow on an extension request for the approval of 530 Sansome Street, a potential mixed-use tower in San Francisco’s Financial District. The plan could add either a 200-key hotel or 256 apartments into the heart of the city if built. Related Companies is the project developer.
New plans have been published for a five-story affordable housing proposal at 2400 Winchester Boulevard in Campbell, Santa Clara County. The proposal will bring 90 new apartments on VTA-owned land at the Winchester Light Rail Station. Related California and PATH Ventures are jointly sponsoring the development.
