Demolition Permits Filed for 12 Structures for Sunnydale HOPE SF, San Francisco

Demolition permits have been filed for twelve buildings along Sunnydale Avenue as part of Blocks One through Four in the Sunnydale HOPE SF redevelopment plan. The Sunnydale community was originally built during World War Two but has since become one of San Francisco’s most acutely neglected public housing neighborhoods. Mercy Housing and Related California are jointly responsible for the redevelopment that will offer replacement housing on top of nearly 1,000 new apartments.

Illustrations Revealed Ahead of Meeting for BART’s El Cerrito Plaza Proposal

New illustrations have been revealed for BART’s proposed redevelopment of El Cerrito Plaza in El Cerrito, Contra Costa County. The images were released ahead of the El Cerrito city council meeting tonight at 7 PM. The transit-oriented project would create 750-800 new apartments ranging from market rate to low-income housing. Holliday Development, Related California, and SAHA are responsible for the development.

New Renderings Revealed for Related’s 530 Sansome Street Tower, Financial District, San Francisco

New renderings have been revealed for the 19-story mixed-use tower proposed for 530 Sansome Street in the Financial District of San Francisco. Proposed just a block from the Transamerica Pyramid, the new high-rise would demolish two buildings, retaining the function of an existing low-rise fire station and produce 200 new hotel guest rooms. Related is sponsoring the project through EQX Jackson SQ Holdco LLC with the San Francisco Bureau of Real Estate and the San Francisco Fire Department.

New Building Permits Filed for 98 Franklin Street, Civic Center, San Francisco

New building permits have been filed for a 37-story mixed-use tower at 98 Franklin Street in the Civic Center neighborhood of San Francisco. The city’s Planning Department approved the development in May of 2020, allowing for construction on top of surface parking at the corner of Oak and Franklin with a small parcel of land, allowing construction to extend to Market Street. Related Companies is responsible for the development.
