The pre-application has finally been filed for a 50-story mixed-use tower at 2700 Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco’s Outer Sunset District. The increased plan, first hinted at last month, is a remarkable change from prior versions. Nevada-based CH Planning LLC is the project sponsor. An updated design has been published for the planned three-story life sciences infill at 1030 O’Brien Drive in Menlo Park, San Mateo County. The project will create a new destination for future life science research and development near Meta’s proposed Willow Village mixed-use district. R+M Properties is the project client.
New renderings have been published for an eight-story residential infill at 2462 Bancroft Way in Southside, Berkeley. The plans would replace a two-story commercial property with 66 homes, including some affordable housing, right across from the UC Berkeley Campus. Trachtenberg Architects is the project architect and applicant.
Increased plans have been filed for a six-story mixed-use infill at 2712 Telegraph Avenue in South Berkeley, Alameda County. The plans have increased since its initial filing last year with an additional floor with five more units. A new architect has also been tapped for the development, with Studio KDA now responsible for the design.
Steel and wood have started to rise for the California College of the Arts expansion at 1140 7th Street in San Francisco. The new facilities, named Double Ground, allow CCA to close its Oakland campus and consolidate into the Design District neighborhood with a new landmark addition designed by the renowned Chicago-based architecture firm, Studio Gang. The new construction will integrate exposed concrete and mass timber within a new creative complex at the core of the urban campus.
