Construction Financing Secured for Samuel Merritt University Expansion

Samuel Merritt University has secured a $139 million bond for constructing their proposed ten-story central campus at 525 12th Street in Downtown Oakland, Alameda County. Along with the bond, SMU is investing $120 million. The over quarter billion dollar investment keeps SMU on schedule for groundbreaking later this year, having received approval in November. Strada is the project developer.

New Illustrations for Transbay Block 2 In SoMa, San Francisco

New renderings have been published for the two affordable housing projects at 200 Folsom Street in the East Cut, San Francisco. Amended plans for Transbay Block 2 are scheduled for a public review by the city’s Planning Commission for next week on December 1st. As well, new building permits have now been filed for the 17-story Transbay Block 2 East, being developed by Mercy Housing. Transbay Block 2 West is being developed by the Chinatown Community Development Center.

Affordable Housing and Native Health Center for 3050 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland

The City of Oakland has published updated environmental documents for a seven-story mixed-use development at 3050 International Boulevard in Fruitvale, Oakland. The project will reshape a 0.75-acre vacant lot with 76 units of affordable housing and dedicated space for the Native American Health Center. Satellite Affordable Housing Associates is responsible for the application.
