Grosvenor Acquires Fully Entitled 2600 Telegraph Avenue In Kono District, Oakland

A new update has been released for the eight-story residential development planned at 2600 Telegraph Avenue in Northgate-Waverly, Oakland. Real estate company Grosvenor has acquired the development. Furthering its investment in the East Bay, Grosvenor will add 225 rental residences, including affordable housing near public transit. The proposal will replace surface parking and a low-rise commercial structure with 225 residential units and ground-floor retail. BAR Architects is responsible for the design.

New renderings have been revealed for 925 Bryant Street in SoMa, San Francisco. The project will replace an existing non-descript warehouse with over two hundred group housing units, bicycle parking, and ground-level retail. Carmel Partners is responsible for the application.

Event Tomorrow for Affordable Educator Housing in Sunset District, San Francisco

Construction is expected to start this summer on the Shirley Chisholm Village Educator Housing at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The property has been used as a public park over the last six years while the city reviewed the housing project. Now with approval set and construction to start in a few months, an event has been organized to celebrate the impending closure of Parkland at 43rd Avenue tomorrow, May 7th.

Renderings Revealed for Library-to-Housing Conversion in Pacific Heights, San Francisco

New renderings have been revealed for the adaptive reuse of 2395 Sacramento Street from a former private library for Cooper Medical College and, more recently, an event space into housing. The proposal retains historic architectural elements from the 1912-built design and expands with two new structures for 24 new homes in Pacific Heights, San Francisco. March Capital Management is sponsoring the project.

88 Arkansas Apartments Nearly Complete in Potrero Hill, San Francisco

Construction work is nearly complete for 88 at the Park, a five-story residential development at 88 Arkansas in Potrero Hill, San Francisco. The sales center is expected to open this Spring, across the street at 73 Arkansas Street. The 127-unit project was developed by First City Development.

Construction Finishes for Kissel Uptown at 2455 Broadway, Oakland

Construction has wrapped up on the new mixed-use building at 2455 Broadway in Uptown Oakland. The project has created 72 new apartments and a 168-guestroom hotel managed by Hyatt. The residential portion is dubbed the Monograph at Kissel, with the hotel, run by Hyatt, named Kissel Uptown Oakland. BAR Architects is responsible for the design, which integrates a historic structure into the new art-deco project.

San Mateo Affordable Housing and Parking Planned for Downtown Location

The City of San Mateo is working with MidPen Housing to bring new housing and a large garage to two downtown parcels, 480 East 4th Avenue and 400 East 5th Avenue. The San Mateo County proposal will bring 225 new units at Kiku Crossing and parking for nearly seven hundred vehicles, despite being near mass transit. MidPen Housing is the property owner.

Vance at 830 Eddy Street Leasing Starts, Fillmore District, San Francisco

Construction is complete, and leasing has started for Vance at 830 Eddy Street, a residential complex on the eastern edge of San Francisco’s Fillmore District. The project has added 137 new rental units to the city’s housing market, of which twenty are affordable. BUILD is responsible for the development.

2233 Calle Del Mundo Tops Out, Demolition Complete For Two Buildings in Tasman East, Santa Clara

New aerial imagery shows construction has topped out for the first residential structure in the Tasman East Specific Plan, Santa Clara. Demolition has also finished on two more substantial sites. Tasman East is a multi-developer multi-structure mixed-use masterplan with plans to build as many as 4,500 new residential units with newly-laid streets, over a hundred thousand square feet of retail, a grocery store, school, open space, and affordable housing.
