Crews have topped out Kiku Crossing, an affordable housing project at 400 East 5th Avenue, and a parking garage across the street in San Mateo, San Mateo County. The seven-story project has reshaped two transit-adjacent parcels with hundreds of homes and even more parking. MidPen Housing is the project sponsor.
YIMBY has visited the rising neighborhood at Brooklyn Basin, positioned along Oakland’s Embarcadero waterfront. The update shows construction has topped out at Parcel J, and concrete is now rising for Parcel A Phase Two. As of now, there are 1,696 apartments complete or under construction out of an expected total of 3,700 units.
A study session has been requested for a residential project proposed at 795 Willow Road in Menlo Park. The project proposal includes the development of a three-story residential building, offering onsite amenities, landscaped areas, and parking. MidPen Housing is the project developer.
The preliminary project application will be reviewed today with the San Bruno City Council. The 44-acre masterplan led by Alexandria Real Estate Equities will reshape the existing BART-connected mall with new retail, homes, and a life science campus. The plans have been able to move ahead since Alexandria purchased the final necessary parcel of land in February of this year. The total cost for the 44-acre San Mateo County campus was just under $330 million.
City Officials gathered yesterday for the official groundbreaking ceremony at 1360 43rd Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunset District. The project, two decades since first proposed, will reshape a 1.37-acre parcel with 135 new homes. MidPen Housing is the project developer working for SFUSD and the Mayor’s Office of Housing and Community Development.
