El Paseo de Saratoga Approved by San Jose City Council

El Paseo de Saratoga has been approved by the San Jose City Council. The project would bring new density to an area defined by suburban sprawl along Santa Clara County’s western edge. Constructions will replace a portion of a strip mall with nearly a thousand new homes, offices, and a new Whole Foods grocery store at 1312 El Paseo de Saratoga and 1777 Saratoga Avenue. Sand Hill Property is the project developer.

New permit activity shows plans are moving ahead for the 47-story skyscraper at Transbay Block 4 in SoMa, San Francisco. Representatives for the property owner, Hines, have recently filed an amendment request to increase the lot’s height limit from 450 feet to 513 feet. The building would create hundreds of below-market-rate units, apartments, condos, and townhomes overlooking the proposed Transbay Park.

The Burlingame Planning Commission is scheduled to review the design for a 12-story office project at 777 Airport Boulevard, along the San Mateo County bayside waterfront. The project would continue the city’s expanding office presence in a prominent strip of land by 101. LPC West, the West Coast division of the international real estate firm, Lincoln Property Company, is responsible for the project.
