New renderings have been published for a six-story residential infill at 1201 San Pablo Avenue, bringing market-rate and affordable housing to a low-density neighborhood in Northwest Berkeley. The project will replace a vacant lot with 66 new homes. Lanhai Su of Jianyi Investment Development Inc., based in Santa Clara, is listed as the property owner.
Construction is now underway on a massive, new student housing project at UC Berkeley. The project proposal includes the development of a 14-story building dedicated entirely to house transfer students on the campus of UC Berkeley. Plans call for the demolition of two historic structures as well as a 112-year-old rent-controlled building at 1921 Walnut Street. Morris Adjmi Architects is responsible for the design concepts. Anchor House was developed in collaboration with the Helen Diller Foundation and UC Berkeley Capital Strategies.

The project proposal includes the development of a four-story group living accommodation (GLA) operating as single-room occupancy (SRO) residential hotel on a vacant lot. New renderings have been published for the six-story mixed-use proposal for 130-134 Berkeley Square, located between Shattuck Avenue and Kala Bagai Way in Alameda County, across from the rising construction at 2129 Shattuck Avenue. The project will create 50 new homes across from the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Studio KDA is responsible for the design.
