UC Berkeley Innovation Zone Could Become Tallest Building in City

UC Berkeley has published the Draft Environmental Impact Report for the Innovation Zone, a two-structure laboratory along the western edge of the university’s campus. New details shared in the document reveal that the proposed North Building is the latest to become the tallest building in Berkeley, and construction could start as early as this summer. Details about the tower design and financing have not been published.

Preliminary Application Filed for 2018 Blake Street in South Berkeley

A preliminary application has been submitted seeking the approval of a residential project proposed at 2018 Blake Street in Berkeley. The project proposal includes the construction of a new six-story infill structure offering 12 new housing units. Tripalink is the project developer. DNM Architecture is responsible for the design, taking over plans from the San Francisco-based Fifth Arch. RW Stover and Associates is responsible for the landscape architecture.
