Permits Filed for 1600 Broadway, Land Park, Sacramento

New building permits have been filed for the mixed-use proposal at 1600 Broadway in Land Park, Sacramento. The five-story construction, formerly addressed as 2500 16th Street, will create 51 new apartments to the retail-rich thoroughfare, along with a full ground level of retail. This application shows two fewer units than when development permits were filed in December last year. Williams + Paddon will be responsible for the architecture.

Permits Filed for Hotel-to-Housing Conversion of 321 Bercut Drive, Southern Pacific/Richards, Sacramento

Permits have been filed to convert the existing Hawthorn hotel at 321 Bercut Drive in Sacramento’s Southern Pacific/Richards neighborhood. The project will convert 272 guest rooms to make 281 residential units in a lesser-developer corner of the state capitol overlooking the American River. The Ezralow Company is responsible for the development via Bercut-Railyard LLC.

Newly filed planning permits online show that plans for a seven-story development at 1208 Q Street are ready for building. DR filing permits submitted in late 2020 have been approved. The proposal will add 51 new units to Downtown Sacramento’s housing market, less than ten minutes away from the State Capitol Building. Urban Development + Partners is the property owner and developer.
