The project will buttress the city’s growing Life Sciences development across the East Side neighborhood. Ensemble Real Estate Investments is the project applicant.
Construction work has started for the eight-story life sciences project at 580 Dubuque Avenue in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The project has replaced a long-time vacant lot. IQHQ, a Real Estate Investment Trust, is sponsoring the project via South City Ventures, LLC.
Construction has topped out for a five-story residential project at 418 Linden Avenue in South San Francisco, San Mateo County. The project will produce just over three dozen apartments in the urban neighborhood close to Caltrain. ROEM Development Corporation is the project developer.

The project will replace low-slung commercial structures with modern new life science offices, further expanding the city’s burgeoning biotech industry. Curtainwall installation has finished for 751 Gateway Boulevard, one of a few R&D offices rising in South San Francisco’s East Side neighborhood. The project has replaced a surface parking lot while expanding the existing Gateway Campus opened by the co-owners Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Boston Properties.
